The NEWPORT ONE team is your team and your champion. We are senior-level professionals with years of valuable fundraising experience and supportive client partnership.

Craig DePole

President

Craig has been raising funds for great causes for more than 20 years. He gets a lot of joy out of bringing together his right brain creativity and his left brain scientific analysis to help nonprofit organizations create a better world. He has raised millions upon millions of dollars and helped foster long term relationships with donors through multi-channel, donor-centric, integrated fundraising strategies.

Craig is an active contributor to the direct marketing and fundraising community. He’s a frequent speaker at industry conferences and he has authored articles for industry publications. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Association of Direct Response Fundraising Counsel (ADFRCO). Over the years, his work has earned dozens of awards for nonprofit direct marketing excellence from the Direct Marketing Association of Washington and the New England Direct Marketing Association. In his free time, when he is not cheering from the sideline of a soccer, lacrosse or field hockey field, he is raising funds for his kids’ school as chair of the Advancement Committee. Craig is a native Californian and lives in Maryland with his wife, three kids, and adopted dog, Vinny.

Lisa M. Smith

Senior Vice President

Lisa is a highly experienced and driven professional who’s spent over 30 years helping nonprofits, people and agencies grow. Lisa helps organizations better understand their donors by analyzing behavior, demographic and psychographic data. Her expertise lies in developing offers, messaging and treatments, mapping strategies and investment to unique donor segments.

Lisa has been fortunate to work with many nonprofits across market sectors including American Cancer Society, Bright Focus, CARE USA, Covenant House, Doctors Without Borders, Environmental Defense Fund, National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Smithsonian Institution, Special Olympics and Washington National Cathedral. Before joining Newport ONE, Lisa served as strategist and team leader at Russ Reid and SCA Direct both subsidiaries of Omnicom.

Through the years, Lisa has won multiple industry awards for excellence in strategy and creative. She’s spoken at many industry and agency conferences and has been a long-time member of DMA, DMAW, DMFA and New England Direct Marketing Association.

Lisa is a true Bostonian, a lover of history, genealogy, food, well-written books, the arts, travel and of course the local sports scene. Most especially Lisa loves her family and friends, both two- and four-legged kinds. A true Piscean, Lisa finds the beach at dawn, dusk and anytime in between beautiful and restorative.

Collin Ward

Senior Vice President

Collin Ward is a proven strategist with nearly 20 years of experience leveraging data and research into innovative marketing and fundraising campaigns. Over the course of his career, Collin has helped nonprofits, advocacy groups, and political campaigns develop innovative and effective fundraising strategies across multiple channels. An expert in leveraging data and research to inform strategy, Collin has thrived in the fast-paced world of direct response fundraising – in both online and offline channels.

Before joining Newport ONE, Collin was the Director of Integrated Marketing for Women for Women International, an international NGO that works with the most marginalized women in war-torn countries. While there, he aligned both the offline and online fundraising strategies, rebuilt a digital program, and exceeded small donor revenue projections. Prior to that, Collin was the Director of Marketing for the Democratic National Committee. While at the DNC, he integrated messaging across channels and turned the marketing department into a data-driven marketing machine that increased grassroots financial support, and mobilized millions of supporters across the U.S.

This is Collin’s second tour with Newport ONE, and over the course of his career he has worked with a variety of clients like the Human Rights Campaign, National Organization for Women, National Parks Foundation, the World Wildlife Fund, Best Friends Animal Society and others. Collin started his career working at a boutique advertising agency in his native home of Southern California.

Collin holds a degree in Marketing from Azusa Pacific University and a Masters in Communications from The Johns Hopkins University. He has been invited to speak regularly on industry trends and best practices at conferences for the Direct Marketing Association and the Nonprofit Technology Network. He lives in the historic Shaw District of Washington, D.C. with his husband and two dogs and can often be seen running the National Mall in preparation for his next triathlon.

David Gregory

Senior Vice President

David joined Newport ONE to bring excellence in fundraising to non-profit clients. With more than 15 years of non-profit experience and 11 years in animal welfare, David is driven by focusing on strategically building successful programs.

Prior to joining Newport ONE, David served as an executive for a large animal welfare organization, where he was integral in the fundraising and development for the $18 million budget. In this strategic role, David built a plan that invested in the future, growing the donor file and total giving. This strategic plan included integrated media, digital elements, increased acquisition using new channels, and enhancing the content of the mail. A core belief for David is that data drives our decisions and analytics will provide significant insight.

David is passionate about excellence in organizational leadership and actively serves on several non-profit boards. He is a member of the Association of Animal Welfare Administrators (The Association/AAWA) and served on two committees for five years. David is a native of Michigan and currently resides in Canton, MI, with his wife, their special needs adult daughter, and their lovable 95-pound dog. His other three children are grown, with one married.

Ashley Moore

Vice President, Account Management

With over 10 years of direct response fundraising experience, Ashley’s aptitude for identifying and solving clients’ toughest problems coupled with her passion for creating positive change in the world has translated to maximizing results and exceeding goals for an array of leading nonprofits. Ashley’s extensive expertise includes leading both English and Hispanic fundraising and brand resonant direct marketing programs (acquisition, cultivation, child sponsorship and monthly sustainer) for clients across DRTV, direct mail, digital, print, radio, and outdoor channels.

Over the years Ashley has served a variety of noteworthy nonprofits, including CARE, International Fund for Animal Welfare (IFAW), Feed the Children, World Vision, Compassion International, American Cancer Society, Operation Smile, Focus on the Family, and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

Ashley enjoys traveling and splits her time between sunny San Diego and the U.S. Virgin Islands. Wherever you find her, she’ll usually be spending time outdoors or with a good book in hand, curling up with a cup of coffee and her cat or favorite travel buddy, Quinn.

Doreen Brannigan

Creative Services Director

Creative Services Director, Doreen Brannigan, joined Newport ONE in 1999 and has been managing the direct mail and digital marketing creative projects for our animal welfare consortium clients since 2002.

With an eye toward each client’s unique needs, specific styles, and fundraising goals, Doreen manages all phases of the creative process—from initial concept and design through final output. She coordinates the work of Newport ONE’s designers, copywriters, and production vendors to ensure accurate and timely delivery of our partners’ direct mail and digital fundraising campaigns.

A native of New York and graduate of the University of Southern California, Doreen now resides in Kingston, MA, with her family and pets, where she spends down time dabbling in all things creative and planning travel adventures

Alison Ingram-Pearson

Art Director

With more than 30 years of experience as an art director and designer, Alison Ingram-Pearson has extensive background designing direct mail, especially for non-profit organizations.

Alison’s creative and responsive designs can be seen on Perkins School for the Blind, International Eye Foundation, Hope Hospice, Home For Little Wanderers, US Olympic Shooting Team, and several hospitals, along with numerous humane societies, food banks and homeless shelters.

Prior to joining Newport ONE, Alison worked for DMW Worldwide (formerly DIMAC Direct), where she developed the direct mail package designs for numerous public television stations, several museums, zoos, and animal rights organizations.

Alison holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Massachusetts College of Art. Additionally, she has extensive training in web-based design from Clark University. She resides in Marshfield, MA, with her husband.

Debbie Young

Senior Digital Strategist

Debbie is driven by her desire to help every nonprofit client progress to a higher level of digital fundraising and online reach. Her specialty is in helping nonprofits use technology tools to achieve fundraising and marketing success.

At Newport ONE, Debbie has been a team leader providing online consultation and strategic implementation across a wide variety of clients. Debbie’s involvement with our clients is tailored to each client’s needs and ranges from campaign implementation, email list growth, and digital advertising to web audits and system evaluations. In addition to working with over a dozen of our humane society and animal care clients like Connecticut Humane Society, Hawaiian Humane Society, Rescue Village, and Chimp Haven, she has helped historical associations, conservation and human service clients like The White House Historical Association, American Battlefield Trust, California State Parks, and Crossroads Rhode Island. Being part of the effort to help the Treasure Coast Food Bank and the Houston SPCA fundraise through times of disaster relief has been a rewarding experience. Among her many achievements, Debbie started the digital program at the U.S. Holocaust Memorial Museum, developing a comprehensive program that included email marketing, online fundraising, and e-commerce.

When Debbie isn’t helping clients, she can be found running or helping coach local high school track & field athletes. Debbie lives in Maryland with her husband, two sons and their adopted lab.

Danielle Hart

Senior Account Director, Digital

Dani is a resourceful and adaptive “jack of all trades.” Having experience in both nonprofit and for-profit industries, she’s always finding ways to improve processes and test new ideas to make a bigger impact for her clients. While email marketing is her primary focus, her broad range of experience and skills in marketing, psychology, and sustainability help fill gaps and inspire new ideas.

Dani started her career in nonprofit online strategy and production working with a variety of high profile organizations including Defenders of Wildlife, The Wilderness Society, and The Senior Citizens League. She has lived in California where she led marketing automation, direct mail, and other cross-functional projects as the Director of Marketing at Payoff, a fintech startup. She was also the Head of Growth at GrowthHackers where she helped companies across the world scale growth, coached teams through adopting a growth process, and planned and hosted an annual international conference. Prior to traversing back into the nonprofit realm, Dani traveled the world while teaching yoga and writing for clients including FabFitFun, Eterneva, Kaiser Permanente, and psyML.

When Dani isn’t testing new ideas for her clients, she’s outside camping, hiking, teaching others how to make the best fire or finding new ways to support her local community.

Caitlyn Hale

Senior Account Director

Caitlyn Hale comes to Newport ONE with almost ten years of marketing experience in both the commercial and nonprofit sectors. Her passion for helping organizations grow and making a positive impact in the world keeps her excited to work alongside nonprofits. Caitlyn has a very diverse portfolio of experience, having served a variety of organizations including low-income housing, rescue missions, hospitals, and world relief. She has led multi-channel; integrated marketing plans generating millions of dollars for her clients. She has worked on award winning projects earning a Gold Echo from the DMA. She takes a relational approach to partnering with organizations in order to help identify opportunities for advancement.

In Caitlyn’s spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and travelling around the world with her husband Matthew to explore different countries and cultures.

Kristen Bocka

Senior Account Director

Kristen Bocka brings 8 years of fundraising account management experience to N1, with 5 of those 8 years working with animal welfare direct response programs like yours. She has a love for this industry and is not only excited to bring her fundraising experience to our N1 team and partners, but she also brings an abundance of production management and client services skills. She began her career in print production in 1999, where she worked within multiple non-profit organizations in the Washington DC area. In 2011, she moved to Pittsburgh, PA where she spent 4 years with a lettershop managing large direct mail programs. The combination of both her direct mail experience (as a client and a vendor) plus her animal welfare specific fundraising years, brings a unique skill set to the table.

As a native to the Washington DC area, Kristen currently lives in Fredericksburg VA with her two kids, 3 cats, and a dog. While she has a college degree in photography, she has mastered the camera on her iphone and finds joy in documenting her daily chaotic life as a mom.

Jenny Klein

Senior Account Director

Jenny comes to Newport One with over a decade of industry experience, working with a wide array of non-profit groups including some of the largest advocacy organizations in the country. She loves being able to help worthy causes every day, shaping strong data-driven strategy to help clients reach their goals.

Jenny lives in northern Virginia with her son Finn and her senior chihuahua, Peanut. She enjoys cooking, yoga, and attempting to catch up on her stack of books and streaming queue.

Stacey Rubenstein

Senior Account Director

Stacey Rubenstein began her career in fundraising because she wanted to help worthy non-profit organizations achieve positive change in the world. Today, with more than two decades of experience, that’s still the passion that drives her every day — and puts a smile on her face.

Stacey’s broad professional experience includes account and project management, development, analytic and leadership roles at Craver, Mathews, Smith & Company; GSB Associates; the American Red Cross; OMP Direct, and Mythic, a Charlotte-based advertising agency with national commercial and nonprofit clients.

Of course, as Stacey would be the first to tell you, achieving positive change in the world starts at home. So she enjoys community volunteering and using her fundraising experience to support local arts and education organizations in her adopted hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina. Stacey’s myriad other interests include photography and painting …and travel (every chance she gets).

Alexa Dysch

Account Director

Alexa Dysch joined Newport ONE with over 5 years of experience working on both the agency and nonprofit side. Over the course of her career, she has overseen data management, donor relations, and development operations for organizations including the Atlanta Humane Society, the Center Charlottesville, as well as Meals on Wheels and YMCA of Alamance County. Alexa loves making the world a better place through her work, especially by connecting the passions of donors to the meaningful missions of her clients through the development and execution of fundraising campaigns.

Alexa studied English and Psychology at Elon University. Originally from South Florida, she now lives in Atlanta with her boyfriend, Michael, and their rescue pup, Daisy. They can usually be found cooking up a storm, hosting board game nights, or planning their next trip.

Steve Rusk

Account Director

Steve Rusk, CFRE is a strategic problem-solver and direct response fundraising expert who carefully examines activity and data to provide actionable insights that become effective solutions to marketing challenges.

As a seasoned creative communicator, Steve combines his ability to stay on top of the latest media trends with his more than four decades of experience in advertising, marketing and fundraising to help clients achieve their goals.

Prior to joining Newport One, Steve was Sr. Vice President, Client Services for Meyer Partners in Chicago. He also served previously served as a Vice President in Client Services at Russ Reid Company in Pasadena, California.

Steve’s first fundraising role was an Associate Director of Mission Giving at the Chicago headquarters of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America (ELCA). He began his career as an advertising copywriter and creative director, working for several leading ad agencies including J. Walter Thompson.

Steve is a recipient of numerous industry awards including the Direct Marketing Association’s International Gold Echo Award, multiple Tempo Awards from the Chicago Association of Direct Marketers, multiple recognitions from the annual Clio Awards Festival (advertising’s Oscar), and five consecutive awards from the American Marketing Association of New York’s EFFIE Awards for Advertising Effectiveness.

Amy Reynolds

Senior Account Manager

Amy comes to Newport ONE with seven years of direct response marketing experience. She is passionate about identifying and meeting the needs of clients and determining how to best deploy her team to ensure a strong client experience. Amy’s expertise in nonprofit marketing extends over cultivation and acquisition programs, focusing on strategic execution, relationships and the daily management of the account. She ensures that the client is meeting and exceeding their goals, and that the account is running seamlessly.

Amy has worked with notable organizations including Feed the Children, Open Doors USA, Focus on the Family, Jewish Voice Ministries International and Prison Fellowship.

Amy lives in Washington State with her husband, Ryan. She enjoys spending her spare time reading, cooking and finding new areas of this beautiful state to explore with her husband and their Cocker Spaniels, Reggie and Coco.

Paul McAleer

Senior Account Manager

Paul has been serving nonprofit clients with Newport ONE for over 20 years. Working with a wide variety of organizations with varying sizes, missions and program goals, he is experienced in all levels of account management.

With a passion for digging into the details, Paul is able to provide clients with the comfort of knowing their programs will operate smoothly, according to plan and with successful results. He is also committed to developing strong relationships with clients and communicating regularly to keep them abreast of activities.

Having previously worked in the public-relations field, Paul was drawn to Newport ONE by the opportunity to work with nonprofits on their important missions and to help make a positive impact in the world.

Paul lives with his wife and four cats on their homestead in Vermont. When not working, he enjoys working around his property, enjoying nature and all things music. He has soft spot for old jazz, especially the bebop “cats” from the 50s and 60s.

Rachel Isen

Account Manager

Rachel thrives right where strategy, data and creative meet. She is invigorated by untangling the intricacies of each element and by seeing the pieces come together to get the right message, to the right donors, at the right time. When you combine this with her dedication to protecting our world’s most vulnerable populations and natural resources, it is clear how she has become the unwavering partner to her clients that she is today.

Rachel spent the initial years of her career learning the nuts and bolts of what it takes to develop award-winning marketing strategies from several angles within an agency. This included time working in Client Services, Operations, Project Management, and Data Services with a varied portfolio of clients including American Red Cross, Operation Smile, Mercy Ships, Ducks Unlimited and over 30 Rescue Missions across the U.S. and Canada. Through this time, Rachel’s love for the data grew and led her to jump right in when called upon to trailblaze a new department entirely focused on donor data in combination with client service and coaching. It is this unique combination of skills that has now brought Rachel here to Newport ONE.

Rachel is a native of Southern California and studied in Spain during her college years. Her passions include coffee, hiking, camping, and travelling, though nothing makes her happier than being around animals. She has never met an animal that she doesn’t love (except for one run-in with a lama) and hopes to one day have the space to continue her family’s tradition of rescuing animals in need.

Vivian Angel

Account Manager

Vivian launched her development career in database donor management. Fascinated with the intricate details of donor giving and driven by cause-related missions of nonprofits, Vivian has gained more than 10 years of solid direct response marketing experience working with The Salvation Army Southern California, the University of Southern California, and The Salvation Army Eastern Territory.

Vivian’s cool, calm and collected demeanor endears her as the go-to teammate to solve the most complex of problems. Coupled with her in-depth experience at regional and territory-wide levels as well as her experience in dual roles as both client and in account management, Vivian has proven to be invaluable. Vivian excels at managing all project elements including critical paths, timeline implementations, and troubleshooting errors. With Vivian’s 360-degree lens you can count on donor-centric approaches, data management wellness, and a commitment and determination to solve client needs.

Vivian enjoys exploring hidden spots in Los Angeles, California where she resides. If she’s not discovering a new food venue, Vivian is attending local events, hiking, or simply hanging out at home with her husband and two kids.

Shelvy Huffman

Account Manager

Shelvy is driven to see our world become a better place. For over a decade he has directed that passion toward helping organizations both great and small achieve and expand their unique goals and efforts to do that very thing.

With a background in project management, Shelvy brings a keen eye for increasing his clients’ impact through the creative content, data processing and production of direct mail and digital marketing products. His work includes national campaigns, rebranding and structural reorganization efforts, and the acquiring and cultivation of donors for disaster relief organizations, food banks, religious organizations and animal welfare organizations.

Shelvy resides in Tennessee, just far enough outside of Nashville to enjoy the natural world. He spends his free time exploring and shaping his land with his wife and two boys.

Megan Hamner

Account Manager

Megan comes to Newport ONE with more than seven years of experience working within nonprofits and four years working as a project manager for a large-format graphics company. With an undergraduate degree in sociology and a master’s in Public Administration with an emphasis in nonprofit management, Megan is deeply passionate about nonprofit work and has a strong belief in the power of nonprofit organizations to change the world. She looks forward to leveraging her combined experience with nonprofits and project management and segueing into the exciting world of direct response marketing—partnering with nonprofits to achieve their fundraising goals through creativity and problem solving.

Megan grew up in Northwest Florida and now resides in Maryland with her husband, three children, and their four adopted pets—a dog, Tucker, and cats, Sage, Binx, and Belle. When she’s not serving our partners, she can be found exploring the surrounding area with her family, attending a recital, game, or track meet for her kids, or planning their next trip! She also enjoys home design projects and gardening and spends the last three months of each year volunteering with a large-scale Thanksgiving and Christmas outreach for hundreds of families who have expressed need.

Shelley Johnson

Account Manager

Shelley Johnson brings to Newport ONE 30+ years in the direct mail industry, with the last 11 years focusing in animal welfare. She has helped her partners achieve their goals and missions ensuring successful outcomes. Shelley has been an integral part of account management where she has managed several major animal welfare accounts in her career. She is an asset to her partnerships with developing and executing direct mail and digital campaigns. She excels at building strong relationships with her partners using her experience and knowledge to manage and enhance their direct mail plans and goals. Shelley is passionate about the work her animal welfare partners do to make our world a better place for all animals and loves being a part of that.

Shelley uses her down time to spend with her husband Gary and their family. Shelley is an admitted reality show fanatic, loves shopping for bargains and remodeling her home.

Andrea Swift

Account Manager

Andrea is passionate about social impact and is driven to help nonprofits and their programs grow. For nearly two decades she has worked in both the for-profit and nonprofit sectors planning and implementing marketing and fundraising campaigns across all forms of media. She has managed the direct response campaigns for several nonprofits of varying sizes and focus. She excels at providing strategic thinking and creative solutions and looks forward to utilizing her skills and experience as a part of the Newport One team.

Andrea lives in Charlottesville, Virginia with her husband, three children and their dog Beamer! When she is not working she can be found as a spectator at one of her children’s many activities, enjoying time with friends, running, and hiking in the Blue Ridge Mountains with her family.

Jennifer Cooper

Account Manager

Returning to Newport ONE with more than 15 years of experience working in both the agency and the non-profit sectors, Jen has managed and led several non-profit direct response marketing accounts for a wide spectrum of categories, such as arts and culture, human services, health care, animal welfare and more. Jen has been a key player in strategic and creative planning, but digging deep into the data is where she thrives. Slicing and dicing the data, and considering current trends, Jen likes to examine different angles and opportunities that can be presented to her clients to optimize campaign performance.

Jen lives on the seacoast of NH with her husband and daughter, along with their several pets. Outside of the office, you will most likely find Jen on her yoga mat, at the barn alongside her daughter riding and caring for their horse or spending time as a hobby farmer in her vegetable garden and tending to her chickens.

Jeanne Coleman

Data Specialist/Account Manager

Jeanne comes to Newport ONE with over 10 years of direct response data management experience and a passion for all things data. With a core foundation in IT, web and database technologies, Jeanne discovered her love of data and analysis in corporate settings before happily transitioning to the non-profit sector.

Joining the world of fundraising has given Jeanne’s affinity for data a more meaningful application — a fact that gives her great pride in her work. Having previously served as a database manager on the client side, she understands the value data provides charitable organizations, especially by maximizing fundraising efforts.

Jeanne lives in New York’s Hudson River Valley with her husband, two children, and two rescue cats. Outside of the office Jeanne enjoys painting and reading. She and her family also share a love of live music and can often be seen at a concert or festival.

Sam DelSerra

Data Specialist/Account Manager

Sam brings to Newport ONE her passion for animal welfare advocacy and a proven track record of making data both more approachable, actionable and – believe it or not – fun!  With over a decade of experience in statistics, analytics and data management, Sam combines the academic rigor she learned during her graduate studies in evolutionary biology with the real-world experience of supporting mission-driven nonprofits.

Prior to joining Newport ONE, Sam spent 5+ years in fundraising, data management and analytics at an animal welfare nonprofit. She excels at problem solving, digging into the details, and becoming an expert on the data she handles.

Sam lives in Minneapolis, MN with her partner Dan and their two cats, Frank and Bruce. Outside of work, you can find her gardening and camping when the weather is warm, and baking treats or trying new breweries when it’s too chilly to be outside.

Titania Adams

Data Analyst

Titania brings to Newport ONE over 20 years of non-profit fundraising experience. She has a passion for data analysis and strategic planning which she has used to contribute towards helping organizations reach their fundraising goals. Titania takes pride in being a contributing factor to organizations that are making a difference in this world.

A native of Illinois, Titania has made Washington, DC her home for the past 25 years. Another passion of hers is music! Titania is a singer, songwriter and recording artist. She also has a band which performs regularly in the DMV area. She has been blessed to perform on large stages in front of thousands of people, but her greatest joy is her son, Joshua.

Andie Ironside

Account Coordinator

Andie is a recent graduate of Pace University with a Bachelor of Arts in Peace and Justice Studies. She is passionate about the impact non-profit work has in creating social change. With her experience in the non-profit sector along with project management skills gained from the internships she obtained during her college career, she comes to Newport ONE with an excitement to work with nonprofits in reaching their fundraising goals to create societal impact.

Outside of work, Andie is based in New York and spends her time exploring the city’s hidden gems. She loves traveling and attending concerts played by her favorite artists.

Mary MacDougall

Accounting/Office Manager

As Newport ONE’s Office Manager, Mary handles the day-to-day internal operations for Newport ONE. She helps coordinate accounting on behalf of our staff, partners, and clients.

Outside of work, Mary enjoys spending time with her family. Mary has a passion for the elderly and enjoys volunteering with people struggling from dementia. In addition, she is a certified hospice volunteer.

Jill Gregory

Employee Advocate and Resource Coordinator/Account Coordinator

As an award-winning agency, we know the importance and value of our employees. Jill thrives in all things HR, coming to Newport ONE with over 15 years of HR experience. Jill received her BBA degree in Human Resource Management from Eastern Michigan University and began her career working in the benefits department at a large multi-location manufacturing company. Since then, Jill has continued to use her HR background at an international engineer consulting firm and as an office manager for two local churches.

Jill has been a Michigander her entire life and loves to visit the Upper Peninsula. Jill’s 4 kids are grown, with one married. She cherishes the times she and her husband can get them all together. She also loves to spend time with her adopted dog and ‘grand’ dog.
